Who we are

We are a new health and safety consultancy company (HASnz Limited), focusing on workplace health and safety, including services to ensure our clients have a health and safety management system and culture programmes, which systematically manage health and safety in the workplace to protect employees and the public from harm.

As we know this is not only the right thing to do but has never been more relevant than with the recent introduction of the Health and Safety at Work Act on 4 April 2016.

HASnz has a simple mission, to make workplace health and safety easy and rewarding to businesses: 

  • Easy in terms of simplifying what is often perceived (and experienced if not done correctly) as a complicated and laborious area of the business; and
  • Rewarding in terms of reduction in harm to workers and the public & the many benefits derived from having a strong health and safety culture.

Those involved with HASnz are considered experts in this field and have a proven record of performance.  This includes transforming health and safety compliance & culture within a major electricity distribution business that was very institutionalised and unionised.

And the rewards have been extraordinary (coupled with other initiatives).  Not only significant improvements in injury and incident performance, but also improvements in:

  • Near miss reporting which develops a learning culture;
  • Audit non-conformances (safety and quality);
